How can I request a payoff statement?
Online
- Log into Online Banking, select the mortgage account you want to request the payoff quote for and proceed to the My Mortgage Info.
- On the mortgage landing page, select ‘Payment’ from the top row of pages.
- On the payment page, click on the ‘View Payoff Quote’ action button of the Loan Payoff tile to open a pop-up window that lets you select an estimated payoff date, reason for request and then generate a quote instantly. The quote will be downloadable as a .PDF file.

Is there a cost for requesting a payoff statement?
A payoff request can be created and mailed for free. Charges may apply for faxing, expedited delivery, or multiple payoff requests.
How can I submit funds for my mortgage payoff by wire?
Please include the following wire payoff instructions:
- M&T Bank (MFRSBUF) Routing Number: 022000046
- Credit Account Number: 3085802684050
Wire payment detail must include the following
- M&T Mortgage Account Number
- Mortgager Name
- Property Address.
Wires must be received no later than 3:00PM EST to be processed the same day.
How will the lien be released from the property once the mortgage has been paid off?
The lien release will be prepared by M&T and submitted to the county for recording following receipt and verification of payoff funds.
Where can I mail my funds for my mortgage payoff?
Mortgage payoff funds should be mailed to the following address:

Certified or Attorney Escrow Checks are also accepted for payoff. Funds should be made payable to M&T Bank. Please include the mortgage account number on all correspondence, including the payoff check
If I request a payoff quote, will M&T continue to make my tax and insurance payments if I have an escrow account?
Yes. M&T will continue to make scheduled tax and insurance payments on escrowed accounts until the date M&T receives your payoff funds, unless we are instructed otherwise.
Following the receipt and posting of the payoff funds to the loan, you will be responsible for making all tax and insurance payments.
Will my ACH automatic payments automatically be canceled when my mortgage is paid off?
Yes. The ACH automatic payment arrangement you have with M&T will automatically be canceled when the loan pays in full.
One last payment may draft if payoff funds are received within the 3 business days prior to the scheduled ACH payment. An ACH payment received after the payoff will be refunded to you.
Will my 3rd party bill payment service be canceled when I pay off my mortgage?
No. You are responsible for contacting your 3rd party bill payment servicer to cancel the payments.
