How to Enroll
Direct Deposit is a convenient service that allows for recurring deposits to be made electronically into an account of your choice. Deposits can include your wages, Social Security or other income.
To enroll in Direct Deposit for your pay, just make sure that your employer supports this method of payment. Also confirm whether you need to fill out a direct deposit form from your employer in addition to the M&T direct deposit form.
Submit your direct deposit forms to your employer’s HR or payroll department.
Fill out a Payroll Direct Deposit form and submit to your payroll department.

Need help finding your Routing/ABA Number or Account Number?
To set up a direct deposit, you’ll need to know your Routing/ABA Number and your Account Number. The following check image can help you determine which number is which. Just make sure that you refer to your own check or savings withdrawal ticket when you fill out the direct deposit form.
If you don’t have checks with your account, you can find your Account and Routing/ABA Number in M&T Mobile Banking. Select your deposit account from the Account Summary screen then tap the “ACCT INFO” button in the upper right hand corner.
