Phishing attempts using fake URLs and malicious websites are now on the rise. Online scammers are constantly evolving their attack methods to try and solicit your banking information. One tactic being increasingly reported is the use of fake URLs in search engine listings using either fake domains or Cyrillic letters. This method is called ‘spoofing’. Fraudsters will often try to impersonate M&T login screens by creating links with look-alike letters, extra characters, or different domains.
