Join one of M&T’s voluntary, employee-driven Diversity and Inclusion Employee Resource Groups that help encourage the professional development of members, enhance our ability to recruit and retain talented employees, provide mentoring opportunities, increase business generation, and serve as M&T Bank ambassadors within the communities in which we do business. 

New groups are formed regularly and all are open to all of our employees.

African American Resource Group (AARG)

The African American Resource Group provides professional development and advancement opportunities for African Americans at M&T Bank. They empower their members to promote M&T Bank to potential employees and customers. 

 

​Asian Pacific American Resource Group (APARG)

The Asian Pacific American Resource Group was formed to establish support and networking for Asian Pacific employees. The group strives to build awareness and understanding of the Asian Pacific American culture for the benefit of the bank’s employees, clients and communities that we serve. 

 

 Disability Advocacy Network Group (DAN)

The M&T WNY Disability Advocacy Network Resource Group promotes forward-thinking, unbiased culture surrounding the view and acceptance of individuals impacted by disability. This group advocates for and is in full support of our employees, customers, and shareholders—both current and potential, who are impacted by disability. They are committed to providing education and building awareness.

 

 Immigrant & Refugee Resource Group

The Immigrant & Refugee Resource Group’s mission is to support the inclusivity and authenticity of the Immigrant and Refugee communities both internally and externally. We recognize the diversity in people, ideas, and cultural experiences, we continually encourage growth opportunities and promote equitable training at the bank for overall professional development while assisting in recruiting and retaining Immigrant talent in support of the DEI Vision 2025 and beyond.

 

Intrapreneurship Resource Group

The Intrapreneurship Resource Group works to provide an inclusive platform for all employees to learn about concepts like design thinking, agile methodology, and rapid experimentation. The group serves to allow employees to gain experience pitching, evaluating, and formalizing business ideas that could have a positive business impact for M&T.

 

​Latino Resource Group ​(¡Hola!)

The Latino Resource Group provides a forum for the personal and professional empowerment of Latino employees. Their goal is to demonstrate M&T’s support of the Latino community partnerships and activities. The group is instrumental in promoting M&T Bank to potential employees and customers and in creating business development opportunities.

 

​LGBTQ Resource Group (Pride)

The Pride Group fosters a welcoming and positive business environment for all employees – regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. They demonstrate a commitment to the internal and external gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities through participation in and support of various activities, events and initiatives.  

 

​Multi-Generational Resource Group (iGen)

This group honors and enriches our culture by providing a bridge between new and more seasoned professionals by promoting inter-generational understanding.  

 

​Native American Resource Group (NARG)

The Native American Resource Group promotes a cultivating cultural learning environment which brings value and growth to both internal and external customers. The group builds bonds by creating new and current relationships within the Native American community by demonstrating M&T's commitment to diversity within the workplace. 

 

​STEM Resource Group

The STEM group works to foster interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) within bank employees and encourage growth in these areas to potential future employees through community service work.

 

​Veterans Employee Resource Group

The Veterans Employee Resource Group engages, encourages and informs veterans and members of the National Guard & Reserves of M&T Bank’s commitment to its employees with veteran status. Wellness Group 

The Wellness Resource Group promotes diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through networking (internally and externally) and wellness initiatives.
