This Site, including any online search and job application functions of this Site, are subject to this Privacy Policy ("Policy"). This Policy refers to M&T Bank Corporation, M&T Bank, and Wilmington Trust Company, their subsidiaries and affiliates, collectively referred to herein as "M&T".

This Site is operated by M&T (address: One M&T Plaza Buffalo NY 14203, USA) in order to support the recruitment functions of M&T. M&T maintains computer systems in data centers at locations in the United States, which may change time from time. M&T may collect, store, process, disseminate or use your personal information in a manner that causes it to be transferred or accessed from computer systems owned or operated by or on behalf of M&T or a third party vendor to M&T. M&T’s third party vendors include Workday, 6110 Stoneridge Mall Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588, which hosts the Site and the candidate database; Checkster, 926 Diablo Ave,, #305, Novato, CA 94947 which hosts a reference checking application; and Avature, 45 Rockefeller Plaza, Suite 2000, NY, NY 10111 which hosts the candidate prospecting database.
What types of information does this policy cover?
This Policy covers any personal information you submit through the Site as part of the job application or job search process, including, without limitation, your name, contact information, password, CV, resume and education information. In addition, you may, depending on the location of the job that you are applying for and/or the country you are applying from, be asked to provide other information as part of your application, such as your gender, race, religion, ethnicity, disability status or sexual orientation; provided, however, you are only required to answer the questions marked as mandatory in order for your application to be processed, while other questions that are not marked as mandatory may be answered on a voluntary basis and your election not to answer such voluntary questions will not affect your application. Please provide only information that is in accordance with local laws.
If you intend to provide us with any personal information about a reference or any other third party as part of your CV/resume or job application, you hereby represent to M&T that you have obtained such third party's consent prior to passing their personal information to us.
You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us and you must ensure it is legal, honest, truthful, accurate and is not misleading in any way.
How will the personal information submitted be used?
The information that you submit on the Site will be stored in the United States (and in the relevant jurisdiction(s) if the job relates to one of M&T's affiliated entities or subsidiaries outside of the United States). It will be reviewed and processed for the purposes below by employees, consultants and/or service providers and/or by automated means of M&T entities around the world. Please note that the laws regarding personal information in some of the jurisdictions involved may be less stringent than the laws of the country in which you reside.
Personal information you provide through the Site will be collected, used, stored, transferred, disclosed and otherwise processed ("processed") for M&T`s recruitment functions and for related management, information, planning and record-keeping purposes. This will include determining whether you are a suitable applicant for any role(s) that you apply for, and shortlisting, selection and arranging interviews. Any information collected from you on this site, or during the interview process, will also be used to determine whether you will proceed through the application process and whether M&T will extend an offer of any employment to you. This includes ensuring all candidates are assessed against and are aligned with M&T’s leadership standards. By doing so, we will be able to be the best for our clients. For these reasons, the information we collect from you is essential for our recruitment process and is in our legitimate interests as an employer, but also in the interests of our clients, regulators and employees. It is also important for you that you are the right fit for our organization. The information you submit will be used for these purposes by M&T Recruiters, Managers and HR Professionals.
In addition, M&T will collect and use the personal information you provide to M&T to process your application; to provide to you any services available on this Site from time to time; to communicate with you about your job application; to comply with any applicable laws and regulations or in connection with any legal claims; to manage the relationship between you and M&T; to monitor and record services whether provided by a M&T company or a third party; to inform you about new vacancies and events relevant to our recruiting initiatives, in particular for graduates and to communicate with credit reference and information agencies (such as for background checks, screenings, references and other quantitative and qualitative testing purposes), where appropriate and as permitted under applicable local laws. If you opt into M&T`s candidate database, personal information about you will be used for the purposes of considering whether your profile is suitable for other job vacancies at M&T.

Regarding Children’s Privacy, M&T does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this site. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
Who will have access to personal information?
Access to personal information about you will be limited to those M&T employees, temporary staff, vendors and contractors who have a business need to access such personal information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services personnel, managers, and/or their respective designees. M&T will not sell or rent personal information about you to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share personal information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting M&T with the operation of the Site. Those third parties will be required to protect personal information consistent with the terms of this Policy.

Data retention
Personal information of candidates applying for jobs will be retained in accordance with local requirements. If there is no activity in relation to the personal information, M&T may remove it from its database, subject to M&T's data retention obligations and policies and any applicable legal and regulatory obligations. Further, please note that M&T may delete your profile or some or all of the personal information that M&T has about you at any time (including your CV/resume), for any reason and without notice. Therefore, please retain your own copy of the personal information you provide to us.
- If you are applying for a job in the United States, we are required to retain your personal information relating to candidates for 3 yrs.
- If you are applying for a job in any European country, we will retain your personal information for up to 2 years (or less) depending on the country where the job you have applied for would be located.
- Data retention guidelines will be observed for the country to which you are applying.
